I dig deep, so grab a laddar! I immerse myself into my work as if entering the world where my subject lives. My inspiration comes from conversation, music, observing the environment, and emotion. These elements are not just sources of inspiration but also shape the narrative and mood of my art. I am ever-evolving, learning, and exploring. I work in several mediums and styles, showcasing my ability to color outside the lines. I prefer not to confine myself; I follow my passions.
My commissions span from local to international, encompassing portraits, sculptures, jewelry, photo illustration, and multidisciplinary works. My exhibits have been exclusively in the Detroit and Grand Rapids Metropolitan areas, where I have had the honor of presenting my work in galleries, art events, and donations for charity.
My artistic journey has been lifelong, but it commenced with a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in Illustration from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. Over the years, I have dressed in multiple hats-from art director and illustrator to graphic designer and design teacher. These diverse roles sharpened my skills and molded my artistic style. My passion for metalsmithing and photography has also left an indelible mark on my work, enriching it with depth and diversity.
“When you view my art, You are viewing the heart and soul of the subject and a piece of me.”
